Fall is HERE!

It's fall. It's OCTOBER.Oc. To. BEERRRRR.Can you feel my excitement? We've had our Halloween costume ideas in motion since mid-September. The house has been decorated, inside at least, as Bubba says "like a spooky/haunted house" for weeks. I. am. ready! I can say though, that I tried to join the PSL train, but I just couldn't do it. You'll have to forgive me. Pumpkin pie in a cup is NOT my cup of... well anything! I'll stick to my hot apple cider, thankyouverymuch.

We Love Fall

Fall in our house brings will it the beginning of the "holiday" season. We celebrate a variety of holidays in the fall and winter apart from birthdays of course. In the spring and summer, it seems that each month brings with it one if not two or three birthdays. We're always celebrating! I can't complain.I'm looking forward to cooler weather, with some sun, hopefully. Fall weather means more outside playtime for the older too and some extra movement for me. Win-win! We're also hoping to do a few fun things this month now that Groot is getting big enough to travel outside for longer periods of time.

Local Activities

On the docket we have:-Apple/Pumpkin Farm: We plan on visiting a local apple and pumpkin farm that has a petting zoo, hay rides and of course apples to take home. I usually make homemade applesauce and apple pie with the farm fresh apples during the fall. It makes the house smell amazing and the kids love applesauce!-The GLOW: A Jack-O-Lantern Experience: This is a new opportunity for us as we have not visited before. You'll have to stay tuned for updates and photos. Fingers crossed we pick a good day to go!-Trunk-or-Treat: I'm hoping to find a fun Trunk-or-Treat opportunity in the community that the kids can attend. We're going to get ALL of the mileage we can out of this year's Halloween costumes.-Annual Halloween Parade: This has been a favorite of mine since I was in middle school. In high school, I participated in the parade all four years. Now that we have children of our own, we have taken them to the parade every year. We don't even need to trick-or-treat as the kids get so much candy from the parade itself. We still go anyway, for the experience, but it's less about the candy and more about spending time with our friends and family which makes the experience even sweeter.

Fall is Sweeter with Friends

I'm sure we'll find a variety of other activities to keep ourselves occupied this season. If you have suggestions or traditions that you absolutely enjoy- please share them below! I'd love to add a few new activities to our calendar where we can!Be Great,M
